HXGN □ -12 type box type fixed metal enclosed switchgear (referred to as ring main unit) is an AC high-voltage electrical device with a rated voltage of 12kV and a rated frequency of 50Hz. It is mainly used in three-phase AC ring networks, terminal distribution networks, and industrial electrical equipment to receive and distribute electrical energy. It is also suitable for installation in box type substations.

Structural characteristics

● Adopting a fully assembled structure, it is lightweight and aesthetically pleasing, and can be installed in any combination for unlimited expansion and extension.

● It can be equipped with FN12-10 compressed air load switch and combination electrical equipment, as well as FZN25-12 vacuum load switch and combination electrical equipment, and the installation dimensions are completely consistent. Small size, maintenance free, three-phase linkage structure, with obvious isolation fracture.

● Equipped with FN12-10 load switch and combination electrical appliance, its installation method is flexible, and it can be installed on the left and right sides, front and back.

● It can be operated manually and electrically, and has remote control function.

● Equipped with complete and reliable mechanical linkage and interlocking devices, fully achieving the "five prevention" function.

● Adopting a linked protective insulation valve to shield live contacts and ensure personal safety.

● Adopting front operation maintenance and reliable wall installation.

● The face door is equipped with an observation window, which can clearly observe the working condition of the components inside the cabinet.

Installation dimensions

 Installation and Debugging

● When installing, first place the ring main unit on the installation foundation, arrange it neatly, debug it, and then fasten it with fasteners.

● When installing the main busbar, open the busbar chamber for installation, and the contact surface connecting the busbar should be flat and free of dirt.

● The grounding of the ring main unit should be reliably grounded, and a circuit check should be conducted on the grounding.

● During debugging, follow the instruction manual for the ring main unit and the instructions for each component inside the cabinet.

● After installation and debugging, perform 5 operations on each switch component and anti misoperation mechanism, and if no abnormal phenomena are found, it is considered that the mechanical operation of the switch is normal.

Usage and troubleshooting

● Pre power inspection

Before power transmission, the ring main unit shall conduct a comprehensive inspection of the electrical performance, insulation level, and wiring correctness of all components inside the cabinet. Only when everything is checked to be normal can it be put into operation.

● Normal operating state

During normal operation, regardless of the incoming or outgoing cabinet, the load switch should be in the closed position, the grounding switch should be in the open position, and the cabinet should be in the closed and locked state.

● Fault handling

○ When troubleshooting the incoming cabinet, the incoming power supply should be cut off first, the load switch should be disconnected, and the live display on the cabinet should be checked. After confirming that there are no errors, the grounding knife should be closed and the door should be opened for maintenance.

○ When troubleshooting the outgoing cabinet, the load switch inside the cabinet should be disconnected first, the grounding knife should be closed, and the front door should be opened for maintenance. At this time, the main busbar is in a live state.

Maintenance and repair

● The ring main unit needs maintenance and overhaul in the following situations.

○ Check the insulation level of the product after 5 years of operation.

○ After the load switch is opened and closed 100 times, the resistance of the main circuit, the power, static contacts, and auxiliary contacts of the load switch should be checked.

● Generally, maintenance and overhaul of the ring main unit should be carried out after a power outage.
